DELO – The hidden champion in the Ammersee region. We’re a world-leading manufacturer of industrial adhesives, based in Windach near Munich, Germany. Owner-operated, for over 50 years we have developed tailor-made special adhesives and application technologies for industries from photovoltaics and electronics to chip cards, automotive supply, glass and plastics. Through subsidiaries in the US, China and Singapore as well as distributors and representative offices all around the world, we can provide expert help to customers wherever they may be.

DELO is investing in the future. About 15 percent of revenues go to research and development, much higher than the industry average. The biggest growth comes from innovative products developed within the last three years, which currently account for 30 percent of sales revenue.

We create tailor-made solutions together with our customers. From the start of new product development, Sales, Product Management, Research and Development, and Engineering work hand in hand with the customer to meet their needs precisely.

History

1961	Company founded in Munich, starting with a small selection of industrial adhesives such as polyester fillers and epoxy resins
1994	Relocation to Landsberg
1996	DELO receives the First Quality Award in Gold from Philips Sound Solutions
1997	In a management buy-out, DELO becomes an independent company under the leadership of Dr. Ing. Wolf-Dietrich Herold and Dipl.-Ing. Sabine Herold
2000	23 percent growth: DELO makes revenues of around DM 20 million
2002	The company is awarded the VDI Win/Win Cup for the most successful customer/supplier relationship
2004	Opening of an own office in Shanghai
2005	Opening of an office in Singapore, giving DELO a further presence in Asia
2007	Relocation of all facilities to Windach
2008	DELO receives the Bavarian Quality Award from the Bavarian Ministry of Economic Affairs Foundation of a subsidiary in Boston By the end of the fiscal year, DELO has topped the revenue mark of EUR 30 million for the first time, and employs 210 people
2009	DELO receives distinction as a “Great place to work,” making it one of Germany’s best employers
2010	DELO ends the financial crisis year 2009/2010 with a slight revenue increase
2011	DELO Managing Partner Sabine Herold is voted onto the Executive Board of the Federation of German Industries Sabine Herold is voted onto the Executive Board of the German Chemical Industry Association
2012	DELO wins the “Best Professional Supplier Award” in the category of “Materials and Semifinished Products” DELO made it into the ranks of the 100 fastest-growing and most profitable SMEs in Germany DELO receives the “Bayerns Best 50” award and thus belongs to the 50 fastest growing companies in Bavaria DELO is awarded a seal of quality for career-promoting and fair trainee programs By the end of the fiscal year (March 31, 2012), DELO has topped the revenue mark of EUR 44 million and employs 300 people
